North East South Dakota Water Trails 
​Dennis Skadsen presents a great water trail and the effort that went into it's development at Roy Lake. SD. If you're looking for an outing there is a great campground, a resort with cabins and plenty of good paddling! Lakes simplify paddling travel and exploring the quieter waters that Roy Lake can offer makes it worth going to often.

 Gates of the Mountains: A Montana Paradise    
​Dave Hillman takes us through one of the most beautiful stretches of the upper Missouri River, In 1805, Meriwether Lewis named the "Gates of the Rocky Mountains" on the Missouri River, describing it as "the most remarkable clifts that we have yet seen". Dave and friends hike Man Gulch and the history of the wildfires that took place in that area changing wildfire fighting safety forever.

​Enjoy yourself and stay awhile, Boundary Waters doesn't have to include many portages. Mary Finck has taken many adventures with family and friends over the past 20+ years and talks about what she's learned and her great wilderness experiences. "Roughing it doesn't have to involve suffering!"

​Reading the regional river gauges helps us know what water conditions to expect. Gauges can help answer questions like; What to expect, are levels safe? are they too low? Roger Foote helps navigate us through this valuable on-line tool.

'Rendezvous 2022: Missouri River Paddlers' - David Mays
What a week we had in August right here on our own water trail with the Missouri River Paddlers! Nearly 80 Source to Sea paddlers and river angels joined up in South Dakota on the MNRR (Missouri National Recreational River). Everyone paddled and camped for 5 nights during an incredible week! Thank you goes out to everyone who made it possible, There's a short video from Norm Miller at the kick-off  party at Fort Randall watch it...you'll get the vibe!

'Planning the Source-to-Sea' - Dave Hillman 
Planning to make a 3500 mile journey down the Missouri and Mississippi rivers to the Gulf of Mexico? Iowa native and SDCKA member,  Dave Hillman shares his thoughts and ideas in April of 2022 about the epic adventure and the planning that he put into it and what he expects to encounter.  
Then, in the link below, Dave presents the trip he made in the summer of 2022 over the course of 124 days!

'From Source-to-Sea' - Dave Hillman 
Fresh off this summers 3500 mile, 124 day journey down the Missouri and Mississippi rivers to the Gulf of Mexico. Iowa native and SDCKA member. Dave Hillman presented his 2022 Source-to-Sea expedition, he planned his progress to meet up with the Missouri River Paddlers Rendezvous that started at Ft. Randall on July 30, 2022; it was a great addition to an already epic adventure....Thanks Dave!

'Current River' - Roger Foote & Bob Foley 
In far southeastern Missouri  you'll find the Current River. Impressive clear waters and home to Blue Springs, a 310 ft. deep pool, the area is fed by many springs giving the water plenty of flow and a making for a great trip. In this presentation you'll get detail on the waterway and learn what went into a great multiday trip for 10 paddlers deep in the Ozarks.
